Professional Development and Knowledge Sharing
Introduction
The purpose of this module is to develop a better understanding of how to plan and procure high-quality evidence-based training for the school's physical activity leader(s) as well as how to disseminate information from training to relevant stakeholders and support staff with appropriate mentoring and coaching strategies. It also includes how to address additional training needs to support all staff including Initial Teacher Trainees (ITT) and Early Career Teachers (ECT).
Learning outcomes
- plan and procure high-quality evidence-based training for the school’s physical activity leader(s).
- disseminate training to staff and governors.
- plan and use coaching and mentoring strategies to support staff and other stakeholders in promoting physical activity across the school day.
- review ITT/ECF students CAS competence and address additional training needs.
- share appropriate information on physical activity with wider stakeholders
